AbstractThe article reports developments related to library automation in the U.S. Howard County Library is planning to combine its book purchasing, OverDrive e-resources, library-selected Web content, and other content with its AquaBrowser Library OPAC by the end of 2006, aimed at providing library users with a more convenient and more intuitive way of using the library materials. On the other hand, Phoenix Public Library will incorporate the patented Guided Navigation technique of Endeca company on its newly designed Web site. Lastly, AquaBrowser Library has been selected by the Wellington (New Zealand) City Libraries to provide library users a visual and intuitive way of finding the library catalog, subscription databases and Web site.
