X Abstract

The article focuses on the adaptation of Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) model to digital resources. The model is a conceptual model for the bibliographic universe to be dealt with in cataloging which was reported by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions Study Group on the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records. There are two requirements for the adaptation of this model and these are: first, to represent resources in a flexible way, and second, to represent the structural correspondence between content parts and file parts. The FRBR model consists of five bibliographic entities, namely, work, expression, file, copy and packaged copy.
